W59 Candle Holder (facade version)
This piece is a reinterpretation of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, a white concrete cylinder whose curved lines ascend and give the sensation of coiling in a spiral. Wright used as a concept the forms of the ancient Babylonian pyramidal constructions, the ziggurats, making an inverted use of them.
The light in the piece has a fundamental role. The curved shape of the cylinder creates an interesting effect of projected lights and shadows both inside and outside. Three slots to place the candles allow you to create this effect.
