Riviera Plinth short in Oiled African Mahogany
Yaniv Chen, the designer behind Lemon’s Riviera Plinths, draws inspiration from a childhood memory and a lifelong fascination with lattice patterns. His love for intersecting timber pieces began during his childhood, exploring conservatories and collecting works by artists like Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Cecil Beaton.
This passion led to the creation of the Riviera Plinths. These simple yet elegant plinths are easy to place in any home, with a lattice design that allows light to filter through, reducing visual interruptions. They evoke a sense of owning a small piece of decorative history, intertwined with childhood nostalgia. Crafted from African Mahogany, the plinths recall the beams of historical Victorian and Edwardian homes in Cape Town. Yaniv’s work is deeply rooted in a connection to the past, and this piece serves as an homage to decorative history.
