Riviera Plinth Medium in Oiled African Mahogany
Yaniv Chen, the designer behind Lemon’s Riviera Plinths, draws inspiration from a childhood memory and a lifelong fascination with lattice patterns. As a child, Yaniv explored conservatories and collected works by renowned artists Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Cecil Beaton, sparking a love for intersecting timber pieces. This passion led to the creation of the Riviera Plinths. These plinths are easy to place in any home, and their lattice design allows light to pass through, minimizing interior disruption. They embody a small piece of decorative history intertwined with childhood nostalgia. Crafted from African Mahogany, the plinths evoke the beams of historical Victorian and Edwardian homes in Cape Town. Yaniv’s practice is deeply rooted in a connection to the past, evident in this tribute to decorative history.
