Mid Century Murano Milky Bowl by Barovier & Toso
Stunningly beautiful Murano bowl by Barovier & Toso from around 1950.
Elegant, wavy shape and masterfully crafted. Two different types of glass come together here: transparent glass holds the shape from below, while a delicate frosted glass has been applied from above using the Seguso technique. The different thicknesses of the frosted glass make the bowl more opaque or transparent in specific areas.
An absolute masterpiece and difficult to find in this particular form in very good condition.
