Lin Pendant, Large, Brass
The Lin Lighting Collection is inspired by environmental artist Maya Lin’s 2001 work, Ecliptic, in which the location of stars are envisioned as points of light embedded in a concrete floor.
Taking cues from the night sky in abstraction—and paying homage to traditional punched tin lighting from their Texas upbringing— the Lin Pendant references the work of early-20th century artist-architects Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh.
Each Lin Pendant is hand-punched by an independent lighting shop in Austin, TX that has been crafting metal lighting for over 30 years.
