Charcoal Sketch 1894
An original charcoal sketch of a marble Michelangelo sculpture found at the Louvre Museum in Paris by Hubert de la Roche Foucauld (1855-1936). A little known artist with noble heritage (his Father, Alfred de La Rochefoucauld, was the Duke of La Roche-Guyon). The sketch was drawn when he was 19 years old.
A large sketch with a wonderful perspective and depth. Inscription on verso. Signed and dated 1874 by the artist. Newly framed in a deep black wood frame with a silver trim at Bergevalls Ramar, Stockholm.
